Surgical Services

Parkwood Animal Hospital now has the option of having your pet’s surgery performed with a CO2 Laser. “The CO2 laser has the unique ability to vaporize or “erase” tissue. The CO2 laser can be used to make incisions as well as erase unhealthy tissue.” Overall, by using the CO2 laser, rather than a traditional scalpel blade, we are able to reduce pain and swelling, promote a quicker recovery time, reduce bleeding and in return reduce the use of anesthesia. The use of a CO2 laser also reduces the chances of infection as well.
